Happy to share our experience building our home with McNair Custom Homes. We originally had selected a different builder and were in the process of finalizing our plans when the other builder and I got sideways over our closing date. I didn't feel comfortable moving forward with that builder at all and basically relinquished my deposit and all the money I had spent on plans. I then started all over with a more determined plan to make sure that the builder I chose had integrity and that I would feel very comfortable trusting him to build our home. I met Vi at one of the Dominion model homes, and she spoke so highly of John McNair and his ability to keep his word throughout the construction process that I interviewed him shortly after that.
John McNair and his team have been a pleasure to work with. They have listened to our numerous requests for change orders during the building process and have always guided us along the way. We are so glad we trusted our gut and changed builders at the initial stage. John McNair is an experienced builder that stands out from the others because he builds at a fair price and keeps his word. For us, that was the most important characteristic we wanted from our builder. His team has gone above and beyond to accommodate the numerous upgrades and changes we made during our build.
We really didn't have any surprises as we were building except maybe that an extra window was delivered and John suggested we change the plan to accommodate the window instead of returning it which turned out to be a big plus for us.
