New Construction Homes Are The Answer To Low Real Estate Inventory

May 19, 2017

These days, in such a hot housing market, we often hear our REALTOR® friends complain of low inventory - a shortage of houses for sale. Buyers are looking for new homes, but there are fewer sellers to be found. This is what is keeping the market strong.

In fact, The Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University recently reported that housing inventory in San antonio for the first quarter of 2017 is down a whopping 9%!

Demand is high, meaning buyers have to compete for the best homes. The good news, is that new construction is the perfect solution to this problem.

According to the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB),

builder confidence is on the rise. More and more buyers are turning to new construction homes as they continue to be dissatisfied by their options to buy. In fact, DallasNews reports that new construction homes in Texas have hit a 10-year high! San Antonio's own statistics show a 5.8% increase in new homes in the first quarter of 2017.

Aside from answering the market's call for more inventory,

there are many more benefits to building a custom home. Among the many benefits, custom home building allows for updated technology, appliances, and energy efficiency, giving you the most up-to-date home possible and saving you money in the long run. You also have the opportunity to create a home that fits your lifestyle and needs rather than adapting your family to fit into an existing home. Finally, nothing beats building a home from the ground up - the emotional value for you and your family is unmatched.
