Fall Activities for the Kids

If you're looking for ways to get your kids involved in something fun over Thanksgiving Break, look no further! We've compiled a list of great camps and day programs for the kids to enjoy while they're out of school this fall.

 

 

 

YMCA Thanksgiving Day Camp

Kids will move, think, and create during their break. The camp is based on the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith.  Ages 5-13

The DoSeum Holiday Camps

The DoSeum offers a large variety of holiday camps for ages 3-10. From Little Engineers to City Builders to Master Painters, there are camps at every age and level to appeal to your young ones. 

 

Artworks Thanksgiving Break Camp

Children will spend the day being an artist and experimenting with mixed-media painting, collage, drawing, and sculpture. All materials are provided in the cost of the camp

 

The Magik Theatre Fall Mini-Camps

Students will take intensive classes, play dramatic games, make new friends, and see a Magik Theatre performance. Thanksgiving Camp will be held at both the downtown theatre, next door to Hemisfair’s Yanaguana Garden park, and at the Magik Performing Arts Center near IH-10 West and UTSA Boulevard.  Ages 5 and up.

 

San Antonio Zoo

Kids ages kindergarten through 6th grade can spend Thanksgiving break at Zoo Camp! During this three day adventure, campers will explore what Thanksgiving Dinner looks like in the animal kingdom.  

 

City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation Camps

The San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department’s Thanksgiving and Winter Camps are available to children ages 6-14. The camps are offered at 17 community centers throughout San Antonio, the cost is just $3 per day and offers sports, games, and seasonally themed craft projects. Lunch and a snack are also included daily through a partnership with the San Antonio Food Bank.
